Triskele in Circle

The symbolism is ancient and carries several meanings. The Triskele symbol is known among other things as Odin's Horns, where it represents three drinking horns. Behind this symbol lies a story: Odin came to the giantess Gunnlöð to drink the Mead of Poetry (skáldskaparmjöðr). He negotiated for three nights in order to take three sips of the mead. The number three held great symbolic importance for the Vikings and was associated with several magical powers.
