Gotland Pendant, Amethyst

This brass-set stone pendant with amethyst is available in two variants: gold-toned and silver-toned. A beloved jewel by many names — this piece is over 1,000 years old in its original form. It is known as the Gotland Pendant, Freja Bead, Gotland Bead, or Fröjel Bead, named after one of its find sites, Fröjel on the island of Gotland.

Our Fröjel Beads are just as popular today as they were 1,000 years ago. The inspiration for these pieces comes from several Viking Age originals found on Gotland. The original was crafted in silver with rock crystal and has been found in multiple sizes. Our version is handcrafted in brass and also available in a silver-plated edition. All stones are genuine semi-precious gemstones. Nickel-free.
